The Ballard District Council will be hosting a Conference with Workshops for all Seattle District Councils and persons interested in the future of the District Councils.

This workshop is in response to Mayor Murray's Executive order this past summer for "establishing public engagement and outreach principles and directing the Department of Neighborhoods to lead a citywide effort that results in the timely implementation by all City departments of equitable outreach and engagement practices that reaffirm the City’s commitment to inclusive participation". One of the items recommended in this executive order is for, "terminating the City’s existing official ties to District Councils and the City Neighborhood Council.".

The intention of this workshop is to bring together all District Councils and persons interested in the future of the District Councils to have discussions about the future of Seattle's District Council, community outreach and engagement efforts. This format will provide the opportunity to attend specific sessions which are of the most interest to you.  S

o that the coordinators may plan the workshops, provide coffee, and set up space, we ask that you please complete this survey and RSVP here.  (Please also join us early for a social hour and setup starting at 11)
